Making the ordinary extraordinary
As a little girl, I’d spend weekends trailing behind my mum through fabric stores—my small hands brushing along bolts of fabric. I was there for the colour. The print. The feeling. Something about those rows of pattern-rich fabric felt magnetic, like they were whispering stories I didn’t yet know how to tell.
Back then, I didn’t have the words for it—but now I do.

The journey here
Before I found my way to surface design, I spent nearly two decades working as a hair and makeup artist. Colour, texture, composition—it’s all connected. That career taught me how to see people. How to bring out beauty. How to trust my creative instincts. But when life shifted—kids, family, slower moments—I found myself reaching for a paintbrush instead of a blush brush.
Watercolour became my way back to myself. A quiet space for play. And eventually, a launching pad for something bigger.
The brand today
Rennae Elizabeth is a collection of surface designs inspired by everyday magic, shadows on a wall, the morning light as it hits just right, colours that make you pause. I create original patterns for fabric, wallpaper, stationery, and home décor, blending gentle palettes, hand-drawn elements, and a love of nostalgic charm with a modern twist.
My work is for designers, brands, and dreamers who want to add something meaningful to their products and spaces. I now create the kind of patterns that first captivated me as a little girl; rich with detail, emotion, and a sense of wonder. The ones that draw you in, spark a feeling, and quietly transform the everyday into something beautiful.
